Client Success

Taken from a LinkedIn post...

I don’t often post personal things here but I think it could help others.

If you know me know me… you would know I’ve always been in “decent shape”.. I have completed a marathon on 2 weeks notice, I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, former college athlete but like many first time parents & business professionals sometimes life catches up to you.

In early 2020 I was the biggest I have ever been 5’4’’ (I look taller on Zoom) 191lbs, I felt horrible. Today, I am still 5’4’’ but I am 153lbs.. I’d like to take a moment to recommend Thomas Blaney’s services.

He helps business professionals no matter where you are get their athlete back. (You don’t need to be a former athlete to work with him) We met once a week virtually and discussed my goals, my meals, my workouts and ultimately my “why”.

Tom didn’t tell me to do anything, he made suggestions to support my goals. He dug into why I was doing things and then when I’d reply he would ask me why again. Eventually a lot of bad habits went away, when my habits became consistently good… my body started to change. Weight came off… fast. (I wasn’t working out really any harder or longer, I just learned when & what to do). This may not make sense but the experience was easy and it worked for me.

If you are looking to make a change or get 1% better - I’d recommend reaching out to him. “

This guy came to me wanting

1 To lose weight

2 To get back in shape

3 To be more confident

In just over a month he is

1 Getting back in shape, he especially likes the beach workouts I put together for him.

2 He feels much more confident and this transfers to life and work

But the scale is going the wrong direction.

This is where a coach, progress photos, and measurements come to the rescue of the psyche that will go down the rabbit hole of despair.

Waist down 1 inch

But the picture is worth 1k words.

The odyssey of an offensive lineman often leads to very unhealthy behaviors and future health status.

But does it need to?

This young man started his college career at 305 pounds and slowly started working on better eating habits, but still maintaining most of his size for four years. All of the athletic indices we utilize got better each year, allowing him to be one of our best on the field.

He came to me at the end of his career and said he wanted to drop weight. He was around 250 to 260 pounds in November 2022.

We worked on everything slowly. Workouts changed from an athletic base to a body sculpting base still hitting the heavy compound movements just not as heavy. 😉

Diet got slowly zeroed in over time never making him feel hungry or deprived. He had a thirst for more and more knowledge, I called ti jumping down the rabbit hole. He loved how he was beginning to feel but wasn’t happy in the 220-215 range where he looked pretty dam good to my eyes. Around the late spring he decided he wanted to get shredded so we got to work on that. Alcohol was finally part of the discussion that he may need to limit considerably to get the goal that he wanted, This is a recent college grad. He’s still drank socially, but started to notice how that was affecting his performance of both mind and body. He was putting the work in. The second picture was taken mid to late summer. So about 3 months to refine from about 220 to 208 note he did dip below 200 for a week or two. Now he wants to bulk.

My coaching flows with the needs of my clients to help them achieve their goals. His was physique He never realized the mental clarity, the performance increase, and the stamina. Everything in his life got better.

Do you need some help?It doesn’t matter where you are starting from…Just where you want to go.

I’m your GPS that will see traffic problems and reroute on the fly.

My client, John, came to me wanting to lose 20 lbs and Ditch his Dad Bod he had built over the years. He had tried every diet and exercise plan out there, but nothing seemed to stick. He was feeling frustrated and discouraged.

When he came to me, I knew I had to approach his weight loss journey differently.

I didn't want to just give him a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, I gave him the tools and steps he needed to create lasting change.

First, we worked on setting specific, achievable goals. Then, I taught him how to track his food intake and make healthy choices.

I also provided guidance on how to incorporate appropriate physical activity for his goals and longevity into his daily routine.

But it wasn't just about the numbers on the scale. I encouraged John to focus on how he felt, rather than just the numbers on the scale.

I reminded him that weight loss is a journey and that it's important to be kind to himself along the way.

After following my program, John was able to lose the 20lbs he had been struggling to shed.

He felt more energized, confident, and proud of himself. He even started to enjoy working out and eating healthy. “This is Fun”

Most importantly, he learned that sustainable weight loss is about making small, consistent changes over time.

He now has the tools and knowledge to continue on his journey towards a healthier, happier life.

Now, John feels better than ever before. He has more energy and can do activities that he couldn't do before. The carry-over into his family’s life is very apparent with his kids working out with him now and his wife adopting many of the healthy habits.

He is grateful for the support and guidance I provided him and is excited to continue on his journey towards optimal health for longevity.
